Yes. Yoke works within a shared household, so both partners need to download the app and log tasks. The first person to sign up invites their partner via a shareable link. Full features, like the Weekly Review and Balancing, activate once both partners have completed one full week of logging.

Absolutely. Yoke is built for any two partners sharing a home. The app uses neutral language throughout and works the same way regardless of who you are or how your household is set up.

Just tap the task bubble on your Home screen. Each tap creates a record. Yoke tracks 54 task types across 6 categories, from cooking and cleaning to school runs and life admin. You can check on the definition of a task by long-pressing a bubble. If you forget to log something in the moment, you can always add it later.

Each Monday at 5am, Yoke resets the week and generates a Weekly Check-In. This is a short set of suggestions for the week ahead that will help make your household more balanced in terms of mental load. You can accept a suggestion, skip it, or ask for a different one.

Balancing translates household effort into an estimated economic value, based on how long tasks took and their real-world market rate. If one partner's contribution exceeds the other's, one partner can choose to acknowledge that via a money transfer. Yoke doesn't process payments itself, but it can open your banking app to help make things more immediate.

Yes. In your Activity History, you can edit the hours for any task in the current week if it took significantly more or less time than usual. These adjusted hours are what Yoke uses for the Balancing calculation, not the default estimates.

IYou choose your notification level: Essential (only key system events), Helpful (the default — practical reminders based on your routines), or Hands-On (proactive nudges to help you close out the week). You can change your level at any time from the Notifications tab in the main navigation.
