1. About these terms These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Yoke app and website (together, "the Service"), operated by Yoke Pty Ltd ("Yoke", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Yoke.

2. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old to use Yoke. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Yoke is designed for use within a two-person household partnership.

3. Your account You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at via the contact us page if you believe your account has been compromised. You may invite one partner to join your household. Both users share a household workspace but maintain individual profiles and activity histories.

4. Acceptable use You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

  • Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service

  • Provide false or misleading information

  • Use the Service in a way that could harm another person

5. The service and its limitations Yoke is designed to support household coordination. It is not a financial advice service, relationship counselling service, or legal tool. Economic value estimates and balancing suggestions are illustrative and based on general market data — they are not financial advice. We do not process or facilitate any financial transfers. If you choose to use the banking app integration, that transaction is between you, your partner, and your bank. Yoke has no visibility into or responsibility for it.

6. Intellectual property All content, design, algorithms, and software within the Yoke Service are owned by or licensed to Yoke Pty Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission. Content you log within the app (task data, activity history) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process that data to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Subscriptions and payments Yoke is available for a single monthly fee per household. New households get a free trial month before any charge applies. Your subscription will auto-renew monthly unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refund eligibility is governed by the applicable app store policy (Apple App Store or Google Play).

8. Termination You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yoke Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Governing law These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

11. Changes to these terms We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
